YouTube is a website that was founded in 2005 that
allows people all over the world to watch and share videos uploaded by other
people. It was created by three former PayPal employees: Chad Hurley, Steve
Chen & Jawed Karim.
Several countries have blocked access to YouTube
like China, Morocco etc.
First ever video was uploaded by Jawed and was
titled ‘Me at the zoo’.
Gangnam Style recently became the
most viewed YouTube video with 1,660,625,708
at the moment!
More than 1 billion unique users visit YouTube each
month.
100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every
minute.
Over 6 billion hours of video are
watched each month on YouTube. (That's almost an hour for every person on
Earth.)
